"40 weeks" is an in process video performance.  In this video I eat every food that a Baby is the size of during gestation.  This piece references the strange objectification of fetus as food and the process of trying to get pregnant.  This series would fall under the same statement as UNLOADING | a mother's body.

Food scraps from the video performance are collected and used in creating the domestic objects of the tray, coasters, and wine glass holder in "Wine Mom".

The idea for this work sprang from the screen print "Eating for two, hon".  This piece is to be reminiscent of throw away domestic images, things that might be on a tea towel.  In this image the baby is hidden among the produce.
